Get Ready, your minds are about to be blown with this ingenious lunch idea! Dang, I’m overselling again! It is really good though, if you like Tuna fish. Anyway, my husband goes on a backpacking trip every summer with his “Bros” and he always brings those little flavored tuna packets because they are a protein that is light weight and compact. They have a variety of flavors. I love them but they are over $1.00 a pouch and you don’t get very much in a pouch. For backpacking they are fantastic but for my normal day to day lunch or snack meals, I find the pouches a bit expensive for what you get.
What’s a poor girl to do? I take my $.79 chunk light tuna that I get from King Soopers/ Kroger and turn it into a Buffalo Tuna dip. BAM! It’s a very simple process. I drain the tuna and put in a bowl and then splash some Louisiana Hot Sauce on top (I’m not shy about it, I likes the spice!) and mix it. I love dipping tortilla chips into my Buffalo Tuna!
I’m sure you all will now need to recover from your brains being completely blown… my apologies, but this little gold nugget of brilliance had to be shared with the world!
