Banana Oatmeal muffins are so easy to make! They are great for a grab and go breakfast and snacks. Check out my post where I share my top snacks for my kiddos during the summer when all my kiddos are home. Honestly, the snacks I listed in my post are good all year round. Some of the snacks aren’t as convenient to bring to school though. Speaking of school, sometimes, I will send my kiddos with a couple a muffins in their sack lunches. It’s nice to switch things up a bit.
Healthier Muffins
These muffins are a little healthier than most. There are oats, bananas, whole wheat flour and less sugar. So, my kids think it’s a special treat but I feel ok giving them these muffins because I know they are semi nutritious.

- In a large bowl mix oatmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar together. In a smaller bowl mix egg, oil and vanilla. (sometimes I'll be lazy and just mix it all in 1 bowl.) Add to dry ingredients and stir.
- Stir in bananas. Then divide into 12 greased, sprayed or lined muffin tins.
