Yo I’m coming at you twice in one week because I need to share the meal plan I made for this week and share a few highlights of the deals that I found that made me light up during this time of high grocery prices, gas prices and all that inflation stuff we are experiencing. Hopefully these meal ideas will help you all save some money during these crazy times!
First of all, there is a perk going into stores people! Sprouts has manager specials that occasionally just rock your socks off! I got chicken for $.99 per lb. And no I did not stutter (just quoting Stanley from the office there!). That made my day! It almost took me back to a time when gas was not $5 a gallon… Oh and you can’t beat getting red, yellow and orange bell peppers for a $1 each. It’s like putting a beautiful rainbow in my fridge.
Second, “Mom’s best cereal” was $1.50 a box at Kingsoopers! Gotta love when cereal goes on sale because those prices definitely have gone up!! Not to mention, I got a nice pork roast to make pulled pork tacos for $1.99 a pound. Those are my highlights… maybe you expected more but that’s all I got!
Tuesday– German pancakes with Blueberry Syrup (blueberries were on sale last week so I got a ton!)
Wednesday– Brazilian black or pinto beans
Thursday– Sausage, sweet potato, potato, kale skillet
Friday– Pizza (Homemade or order out)
Saturday– Navajo Tacos
Sunday– Smoked pulled pork tacos/ sandwiches
Monday– Shrimp fajitas (or chicken for budget friendly)
Tuesday– Potato-topped Ground Beef Skillet
How to Say “No” to Things you Want: Something I’ve learned along our Debt Free Journey
Time can feel like our enemy at times but sometimes it’s our best friend. Time can heal, give perspective and teach us what truly is important in life. Is it time itself or is the act of “waiting patiently”? I’m not sure but I know when it comes to developing self discipline, it just takes time.
